1929 & 1930 Camp Photos from Dave Kiefer

These photos were supplied by Dave Kiefer of Midway, Kentucky. His father, William G. Kiefer, Sr. was a counselor at Camp Daniel Boone. William G. Kiefer, Sr., who was later a Major in the Louisville Police Dept. and President of Boys Clubs of Kentucky, is shown in photo number 8 just to the left of the guy with the “P” sweater.

Wow! Just found this site. Several of us from Paris Ky went to CDB in the summer and I guess about 1946 to 48. Not sure.
My memories: squad tents about 8 boys; campfires, singing, telling ghost stories; swimming in roped off area Ky river; exploring the caves in the area; apple sauce for breakfast; watermelon fights on the banks of the river; few snakes; great fun. I still remember the cave we explored looking for Indian Joe.
